Motor Ahead
As a help the following is just great: "If the motor will fit, the fenders will bend."
My dad said this in situations with pressure to get a job done, one must move ahead regardless of incoming forces. Fight through it.

Sounds like good motivation to hang in there.
I saw on the news tongiht a feature from Cuba where they have lots of 1950's American cars they they keep a going. This saying seems to fit with their challenge.

I remember Daddy D using this expression himself on various occasions when I either broke something or thought that I broke something. Lesser men would have said #@** &^% to their poor wives. Daddy D calmly says, "If the motor will fit, the fenders will bend." And then, he fixes what is broken.
